It hasn’t been the most ice-friendly winter, but you can still have an Elsa from Frozen moment at Ice Castles in Lake George, New York. This popular Upstate New York winter attraction is now open after a warm start to January caused some delays.
Ice artisans have created an interactive experience with ice-carved slides, tunnels, fountains, frozen thrones, and cascading towers of ice embedded with color-changing LED lights. This season, there’s also a winter light walk and an ice bar, The Polar Pub, offering a variety of winter-themed cocktails.
Ice Castles is expected to remain open through late February or early March, weather permitting. Prices are $22 for age 12 and up; $15 for children 4-11 on weekdays. Weekends are $29 and $22 respectively.
