With an expected debut in 2026, the popular YouTuber gets up close and personal with its high-level tech and supercar specs.
Outside of muscle cars like the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro, convertibles have primarily become a premium brand offering. Drivers who want an open-air experience have a number of luxury cars to choose from with a removable top and it looks like that will continue into the electric vehicle landscape of the future.
On the YouTube channel Supercar Blondie, Alex takes a closer look at the Polestar 6 Electric Roadster Concept. The luxury EV will allegedly make its debut later this decade loaded with premium features and technology.
It's the first time that Alex is getting a close-up view of the concept car in person, and it's an incredible car to see. The EV has many remote controls such as the lighting which Alex demonstrates with a fob as she walks around the car. The car has many technological advancements designed to address pain points among drivers of today's vehicles. One example is the heated front of the car below the headlights, which will prevent snow or ice from building up and affecting the front sensors and safety features of the car.
The wheels on the car are more closed off than many ICE-powered cars, a design direction that she likes. The Polestar Roadster will apparently make a production debut in 2026 and the initial 500 sold will be a special LA edition reserved for the first buyers. The white roadster has an interior color scheme that aesthetically matches the exterior of the car with white and gray coloring as well as chrome accents and gold seatbelts.

The car will have a hardtop setup as well as side cameras instead of standard side mirrors. On the left rear fender, there is a subtle light bar that will indicate the level of charge that the car has. The modern design of the light matches the light bar at the back of the car which functions as the taillight. The design draws inspiration from aerospace technology and will incorporate other features in line with an electric roadster of the future.
In the concept, there is a drone feature that allows a drone to emerge over the trunk of the car and travel down a track. The drone would theoretically allow a driver to film themselves as they drive. While the feature would be a game changer for anyone who likes to film their own car, this feature is unfortunately on the concept version only and will not get offered on the production version.
The Polestar Roadster will come with a $200,000 price tag, putting the Polestar squarely in supercar pricing territory. While Tesla may still reign supreme regarding sales and buyer familiarity, the technology, design, and future models Polestar brings to the table make it an increasingly competitive EV brand. Polestar, Tesla, Rivian, and Lucid are all up-and-coming EV brands that could reshape what it means to be a heavy hitter in the automotive sales race among more established automakers.

Promoting the theme of sustainability, the whole car is completely recyclable. It delivers as more than just a sustainable EV though, in addition to its good looks and roadster design, it offers impressive performance. The Roadster can travel from 0-60 mph in just 3.1 seconds and has a top speed limited to 155 mph. The car also will output 884 horsepower, putting it above many popular sports cars that are currently the standards for performance. Time will tell how closely the Polestar Roadster follows the concept once it's released but for now, the future for Polestar looks bright.
