Used Car of the Day: Please Take This 2014 Jeep Wrangler Off Road | The Truth About Cars

You may have noticed the site has been quiet today, but never fear, content is coming. As you wait for more Chicago Auto Show and news stories, feast your eyes on this fairly pristine 2014 Jeep Wrangler and get it dirty.

It has 68,000 miles, the 3.6-liter V6 engine, an automatic transmission, and what look like off-road-ready tires but the seller says it's never been off pavement. You wouldn't know it to look at it, though -- not only are the tires ready for rock crawling but there's a bar in front of the grille, tow hooks, a winch, and more.

For $23,500 this Connecticut-based (for now) Jeep could be yours. If you plunk down the cash, please take it off road.

Take a closer look here.

It needs to see some of our logging trails here, at least.

So our erstwhile Jeep owner has an "S" model which I think is base, and Cialis Motors will start the base price on an MY23 at $30,2. Then if we factor in the fact the subprime bank of choice would rather do business with the Chrysler dealer and a new model (yes, Jeeps are frequently subprime), then realize interest on an nine MY old example is going to be bonkers even from a credit union... yeah, crack is whack dude. Just take it to the dealer for a direct sale and my guess is it will pull $18s-low 20s because Wrangler.

Before we leave this, let's examine the actual post.

Prestine [sic], absolute MINT condition, garage kept 2014 Jeep Wrangler S.

Fully modified with the best made in the USA aftermarket parts.

No smoking, no pets, no accidents, clean Carfax (which I have).

I hope its clean for all the money.

Have original owner’s manual, two keys & Jeep toolkit (allen keys) for removing the hard top.

Never took of off pavement & has been my weekend driver.

Who weekends a Jeep, a Wrangler no less, on pavement? Daily sure whatever but weekend/Sunday car 4x4 and we don't go off road at all? Really?

Only selling because I want a pickup for a side business. Cash or certified cashiers check. Serious inquiries only.

So why are you not trading on a pickup? Do you somehow think the Mad Max world of used pickups is somehow a better solution for someone who can get at least 18K in hand?

Have all records & zero issues with it. Will throw in original halogen headlights and original grill.

Oh ok, so best USA aftermarket parts are brighter halogen bulbs and a custom grille? How about the winch and roo bar, are they not included? Jeep people like anyone into customization can get into the nitty gritty with their updates and changes, yet seller does not outside of headlights and alluding to a grille.

Go to the dealer, pass go and collect $18,000-$20,000 dollars.

"The 2023 Jeep Wrangler has a starting price of $30,295 for two-door models and $34,165 for four-door models, which is fairly high for a compact SUV. The midrange Sahara trim starts at $44,320, but the range-topping Rubicon 392 model has a lofty $79,995 [!!!] MSRP. [emphasis mine]"

Good critique. Wait a few years and the Craig's List Ad will be 5.7 2023 Ram Rebel with special off road package, graphics, winch, hooks, light bar, spray in bedliner, and retractable chrome side steps never offroaded and bed never used with 25k miles for the price of 50k price nonnegotiable. Was going to use in side business but now surfing and need a Jeep Wrangler.

The owner probably got the off-road mods to look “tough”.

The grille and fender flares I could see, but the seller has entirely too much money if he installed a roo bar and winch to "look tough". A Warn winch starts at a grand and goes up to three, and that's without a mount or bar.

https://www.warn.com/products-winches-hoists Going that far only impresses Jeep people, but Jeep people go off-road and this guy doesn't so there's all kinds of confusion happening here.

Jeep is proof that financially secure men will spend a lot of money to hide their inner homosexuality.

No, no, no; you all have it all wrong. My cousin's 15yo daughter announced she wants a "Jeep to take to the beach; Momma I can take it to college too!" I just laughed when I heard that. Laughing harder I reminded my cousin she had a 914 in high school. More 1st world problems.
